There is a fantastic range of events that take place in and around Ullswater each year that celebrate the rich diversity, local history, culture and beauty of the area. Highlights include the world famous Marmalade Festival, the popular Winter Droving, Ullswater Walking Festival or Ullswater’s very own Daff Fest. Walk by picturesque Lanty's Tarn, visit the ice house then on through an ancient deer forest to Silver Bay on magnificent Ullswater.
We take the steamer to Aira Force, a well known Lake District waterfall, then traverse the hillside path for magnificent views of Ullswater.
Head outdoors to learn basic navigation skills in small, friendly groups. Map and compass provided. Adult women only.
Cruise to Howtown then walk back to Glenridding over the Wainwright summit of Place Fell and Boredale Hause.
Catch the bus to Haersop for a scenic walk around Brotherswater and Hartsop village. Lots of interest for history buffs!
A circular walk up to the Cockpit between Barton Fell and Askham Fell to discover what makes Ullswater special. A short, steep climb for amazing views, returning to the campsite by the lakeshore.
