There is a fantastic range of events that take place in and around Ullswater each year that celebrate the rich diversity, local history, culture and beauty of the area. Highlights include the world famous Marmalade Festival, the popular Winter Droving, Ullswater Walking Festival or Ullswater’s very own Daff Fest. Pirates by Day with Ullswater Steamers

Them Pirates be back for another swashbuckling adventure but with a twist! The departure point will be Pooley Bridge Pier at 1.30 pm. Load the cannons and prepare to battle it out on a 90 minute adventure with our rogue pirates, keeping an eye on the horizon at all times! £12.50 per pirate, under 3s free, includes cruise, gold chocolate coins, tattoos, return cruise voucher for the grown-ups and on-board games. Tea/coffee and Parrot squash included. Be warned – you will get wet! Dogs not permitted.
