There is a fantastic range of events that take place in and around Ullswater each year that celebrate the rich diversity, local history, culture and beauty of the area. Highlights include the world famous Marmalade Festival, the popular Winter Droving, Ullswater Walking Festival or Ullswater’s very own Daff Fest. Applique Relief Tiles in Porcelain at Quirky Workshops

A day with this very talented ceramics artist to create a tile up to A4 size or a series of three smaller tiles (a tryptych) or individual pieces to suit your need.
Using beautiful cutters and stamps (bring your own if you have) and incorporating Gwen’s own signature use of textures and patterns you will learn how to create your own beautiful designs whether drawn freehand, layered, pressed or imprinted, and built up in relief for a lovely effect.
You might to incorporate pressed flowers and leaves shapes (work best when dried and flat) . Pick and press your flowers to bring carefully on the day within a book. Lavender and daisy, ivy leaves, wild strawberry, small leaved geranium all work well.
£75 inc a lovely 2 course lunch etc
