Kirkstone Pass Inn
Iconic Kirkstone Pass Inn has reopened Spring 2026. The highest pub in the Lake District is back.
Closed for nearly five years, the 15th-century inn – established in 1496 and sitting almost 1,500 feet above sea level – will once again welcome walkers, cyclists, motorists and regulars alike.
The Kirkstone Pass Inn is the highest pub in Cumbria and the second highest in England, perched dramatically on the Kirkstone Pass with panoramic views stretching across the fells. It offers what many consider to be one of the finest viewpoints in the Lake District.
Serving locally sourced produce and their own beers brewed by Kirkby Lonsdale Brewery.
