Open from August 2017, Another Place, The Lake is a new hotel right on the shores of Ullswater. Every element of The Lake is made with the great outdoors in mind. From the sport and activity classes, to the mix of relaxing, homely rooms and fresh contemporary spaces.

Get active, then relax back at the hotel in Swim Club where you’ll find a warm 20-metre indoor pool, hot tub and treatment rooms. Two restaurants make the most of Cumbria’s outstanding produce as well as a library, 18 acres of gardens and a Kids Zone which gives the kids a chance to explore, try new sports and make new friends.

The Hotel

Accommodation

Our 40 en-suite bedrooms are within the original Georgian House or the new contemporary wing and are filled with antiques, gilt mirrors, paintings and rich soft furnishings. The rooms vary in design, size and aspect but all are comfortable and inviting. Most our rooms have views of the lake and fells, some are suites, family suites and dog friendly. Every bathroom has a bath and a separate or overhead shower.

Wining & Dining

We take great pride in our food and Cumbrian heritage. There are two restaurants, The Living Space which serves food throughout the day and the main hotel restaurant which is open every evening.
