Self-Catering Accommodation at The Quiet Site

The holiday cottages, which date from the 16th Century, have been converted in such a way that they can be let individually or as one single unit. Each cottage has its own stone terrace with garden furniture. The two properties also have exclusive use of a large grassy area with sunken trampoline, a two storey playhouse (with lights!) and garden toys.

Off-road parking is available for two cars at each cottage.

A trip-trap high chair and cot are available on request. (Please bring your own cot bedding and high chair straps). Towel hire on request. Prices range from Ł400 - Ł1400 per week. Prices are inclusive of heating, electricity and bed linen.

Ivy Cottage

Sleeps 6 + optional cot

Ivy Cottage started life as an old smithy and is full of character with exposed beams a particular feature. The cottage is tastefully decorated and has been finished to a high standard. The front door opens into a kitchen with vaulted ceiling; it is well equipped with a large dining room table, a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer and fridge/freezer. A short flight of stairs leads to an open galleried area containing a double bed. Beyond the kitchen is a ground floor shower room/WC. A door leads from the kitchen area into a very large and comfortable reception room. This contains sofas, chairs, wall mounted wide screen TV with DVD/CD. Family DVDs and books are available and WiFi access is free. At the other end of this room is a coffee table, chairs and access to the garden. Another flight of stairs leads to two well appointed double bedrooms (one contains twin beds) and a family bath/shower room.

Watermillock Cottage

Sleeps 9 + optional cot

Watermillock Cottage is a Grade 2 listed farmhouse. It dates from 1680 but has recently undergone a full refurbishment. All the floors are oak and old exposed beams are numerous. Shutters ensure a good nights sleep! Entrance to the cottage is via a porch into a central entrance hall. The large reception room features an open fire, comfortable sofas, a wide screen TV and DVD/CD. Family DVDs and books are available and WiFi access is free. There is a separate dining room and an oak refectory table seating 10. The kitchen features an AGA, oak units and slate worktops. The utility room contains a washing machine/tumble dryer and large fridge/freezer. Stairs lead to 3 double bedrooms (one containing a double and single bed) and 1 twin bedroom, 1 shower room and 1 bath room.
