Highlights include the world famous Marmalade Festival, the popular Winter Droving, Ullswater Walking Festival or Ullswater’s very own Daff Fest. Keswick Film Festival: Paths of the Soul
The 18th Keswick Film Festival continues the tradition of holding a day of films at Rheged as part of the 4 day event.
For 1200km, the Tibetan pilgrims of Zhang Yang’s extraordinary travelogue clap, drop face down to the road or gravel or mud, and then lift themselves up to walk a few steps and do it all again, on a pilgrimage to Lhasa, the holy capital. We see the simplicity of human relationships and the nature of family, suffering, and extraordinary determination. Zhang shot for more than a year and also managed to secure approval from the Chinese government to make and distribute this film celebrating Tibetan spirituality.
