Dalemain Marmalade Festival is back in April

Calling all marmalade makers and eaters! Join us to celebrate the 18th Dalemain World Marmalade Awards & Festival where we will be announcing the world’s best marmalade for 2023.

There will also be thousands of jars displayed in the Mansion, Artisan marmalades from across the world to try and buy, bell ringing, a juicing bicycle, stalls and a chance to meet the world’s most famous marmalade lover: Paddington Bear!

This year we are also offering a range of talks throughout the day, such as:
Marmalade Question Time-Join our expert panel for answers to all of your marmalade questions. From cooking tips to flavour suggestions-we’ve got you covered. No question is too small, no problem too sticky!
Karen Jankel on Paddington Bear-As the daughter of Michael Bond, the author of Paddington Bear, Karen will talk about Paddington and her father’s legacy.
The Conservation of the Great Clock of Westminster (otherwise known as Big Ben) by the Cumbria Clock Company-Keith Scobie-Young will talk about restoring this national treasure in his workshop on the Dalemain Estate.
Chestnut House Gin-Dalemain worked with Chestnut House to create Jane’s Marmalade Gin. Join us for a gin talk in the setting of the old brewery at Dalemain. Find out more here
