Joanna, whose work is part of The Great Print Exhibition in our gallery  has been printmaking since the late 1980s and was voted “Printmaker’s Printmaker” at Printfest 2014. We are delighted that Joanna is joining us for this hands on workshop on traditional, simple relief printing methods using a combination of soft plywood and lightweight coloured papers. The workshop will take you through all the basic steps to create your own prints by cutting an image into the wood, inking the wood and printing it on specialist printmaking paper. Light weight coloured papers are then applied to the image under the ink to create subtle layers of colour. All materials are provided. By the end of the session, you will have your own prints to take away with you, together with your own wooden relief block.
