Highlights include the world famous Marmalade Festival, the popular Winter Droving, Ullswater Walking Festival or Ullswater’s very own Daff Fest. Silver Level NNAS Certificate (2 day course £125) : Intermediate Navigation, leading you along and off trails and heading onto unknown terrain, moving from course navigation to fine navigation, and the navigation tools in order to do so. Various map scales will be used during this 2 day course. Learning to navigate with use of contours, not features alone. You will learn to build confidence in poor visibility on the fells, and the hours of darkness for coming off the fell. Gain confidence with refinding your route when ‘mislocated’ – never ‘lost’! (Course:tutor ratio 1:8).
