There is a fantastic range of events that take place in and around Ullswater each year that celebrate the rich diversity, local history, culture and beauty of the area. Highlights include the world famous Marmalade Festival, the popular Winter Droving, Ullswater Walking Festival or Ullswater’s very own Daff Fest. In the Footsteps of Wordsworth

Take the steamer from Glenridding to the legendary Aira Force waterfalls. Return along the lake shore. A joint World Heritage themed walk in partnership with Dove Cottage and the Wordsworth Museum.
Price: Free, donations welcome. Special half price boat fare

Grade description
Easy – Short, flat walks going at a leisurely pace for 6 km. Usually suitable for pushchairs, though you may need to lift over small obstructions. Comfortable shoes or trainers can be worn.
