There is a fantastic range of events that take place in and around Ullswater each year that celebrate the rich diversity, local history, culture and beauty of the area. Highlights include the world famous Marmalade Festival, the popular Winter Droving, Ullswater Walking Festival or Ullswater’s very own Daff Fest. Or perhaps one of the many sporting events, such as the Ullswater Triathlon or the Epic Lakes Swim is more your cup of tea?

THE GREAT PRINT EXHIBITION 2017

The Great Print Exhibition is the largest exhibition of its kind in the UK. With over 350 framed artworks on the wall by over 60 printmakers from up and down Britain, it’s an excellent chance to see and buy original art. You’ll be able to learn about this widely varied art form, with information on how different prints are made and videos showing artists making their work, along with examples of tools and printing plates used to create prints. On certain days, the Making Space will be occupied by a printmaker, offering live demonstrations as they create new prints right there in the gallery.
