There is a fantastic range of events that take place in and around Ullswater each year that celebrate the rich diversity, local history, culture and beauty of the area. Highlights include the world famous Marmalade Festival, the popular Winter Droving, Ullswater Walking Festival or Ullswater’s very own Daff Fest. Design and Block Print a Lampshade

Make your own unique, stunning lampshade with Georgia Wilkinson. Once you have created a design and it is finalised on paper you will learn how to make block prints using a variety of mixed media tools, practising on paper before turning and printing up the cotton panama fabric supplied. The material for the lampshade will be then cured and hand rolled and carefully finished into a lampshade. A further pieces of fabric may be printed for a matching cushion cover front to take home and make a cushion You can choose to make either a small table lamp shade or a larger pendant ceiling shade. And hey presto your creations are ready to take home!
