Highlights include the world famous Marmalade Festival, the popular Winter Droving, Ullswater Walking Festival or Ullswater’s very own Daff Fest. Create a Head Dress, Bring the Green Dragon to Life and Join The B Jambra Parage With Blue Jam Arts

£5This year at Rheged we have teamed up with Blue Jam Arts to bring to life the huge ‘Green Dragon’ and we need some helpers! We need help to rebuild the Dragon scales before it is woken up by the sound of the Samba drums! We will be running drop-in workshops on Saturday and Sunday to rebuild the dragon, have a go at the Samba drums and making your own flame head dress to take away with you. On Sunday, we will have a mini parade here at Rheged at 2.30pm, but you can also join B Jamba on Bank Holiday Monday in Penrith and take pride of place in the “Penrith Lions’ May Day Parade” alongside the dancing Green Dragon (Please note, no dragons were harmed during the making of this event – this is a Parade Dragon puppet!).
11am – 3pm • Drop in • £5 includes all activities through-out one day
