There is a fantastic range of events that take place in and around Ullswater each year that celebrate the rich diversity, local history, culture and beauty of the area. Highlights include the world famous Marmalade Festival, the popular Winter Droving, Ullswater Walking Festival or Ullswater’s very own Daff Fest. Beginners Embroidery With Leah Halliday

£10This fun and relaxed 1- hour workshop will give you an excellent introduction to hand embroidery. During the class Leah will teach you a variety of simple stitches and you’ll begin to create your pretty floral design. Your hand embroidered design can be used as hoop art, transformed into a panel for a cushion or quilt or framed as a picture on your wall. You’ll leave with the beginnings of a beautiful embroidered item and detailed diagrams of the stitches covered, to refer back to when you get home.
