We believe farming and nature can exist and flourish together. By improving soil and habitat management, farming can be part of the solution to nature recovery, carbon sequestration, and flood resilience, whilst also producing sustainable healthy food.
Gowbarrow Hall Farm
Gowbarrow Hall Farm is a family run farm on the south facing shores of Ullswater in the Lake District. The farm is under the management of Sam and Claire Beaumont, as the third generation. We are passionate about maintaining the natural beauty of the landscape and enriching the wildlife that falls within it. We are caring for the environment and are conscious of how farming fits within the wider global issues that our planet is facing.

Miller Farming Farm Shop and Sheepdog Demonstration
We are a family run farming business which is home to 6000 free range hens, 420 lambing sheep plus lambs, a few cows, pigs, horses, 15 bee hives and our 9 working dogs.
Lowther Castle
Little can prepare you for the impact of seeing the ruins of Lowther Castle for the first time. The gardens are likewise stunning. The castle is the third building to inhabit the majestic site, while the gardens retain their original 17th century plan.
